With the aim of maintaining its monopoly in fashion, Flipkart will be adding more layers to its offerings by further trimming costs. The marketplace, which has made 90% discounts commonplace, has continued its streak with minimum 90% off on over 1 lakh festive sarees on its platform. There are great offers on men's fashion too with up to 50-60% off on clothing and footwear from Wrangler, Puma and UCB. 

Large appliances 
Flipkart also has a variety of exciting deals on white goods. With its anti inflation message of "ab mehengaai giregi" reiterated by the kids dotting television commercials, the platform is offering more than just discounts for large appliances. 
In what may be a first for the platform, consumers can get an additional discount on exchanging their old televisions with a brand new one during the BBD sale. They also stand a chance to win electronic gift vouchers of up to Rs 50,000 on the purchase of select models under some of these brands. 
Air pollution increases every winter and Flipkart has decided to capitalize on this with special offers on air purifiers. The Mi Air Purifier 2 is priced at Rs. 8,499 versus a MRP Rs. 12,900. Similarly, Philips Air Purifiers see a discount of upto 30%. 

Home furnishing 
Flipkart is also giving an airing to its home furnishing category during its BBD sale this year with exciting deals and hefty discounts. 
Bombay Dyeing cotton double bedsheet at Rs 499, HomeTown furniture at up to 80% discount and solidwood dining table sets at less than Rs 8000 are some of the exciting offers on display. Queen size bed is also available at a discount of about 60%, as are recliners for as low as Rs 11,498. Sofas and dining tables are also seeing a 70% price drop. 
Other interesting offers on display include foldable furniture at under Rs 3000, up to 70% off on TV entertainment units and sofa beds starting Rs 10,999
